Welcome to your Europamundo Trip Style tour!
Around 8am we leave Madrid for Aragon. Our first stop will be in ZARAGOZA, capital of the autonomous community of Aragon. With our guide we walk through the historic center of the city, crowned with the spectacular Basilica of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of Spain. We also visit the Cathedral of El Salvador, La Lonja and other buildings of great architectural beauty. Time for lunch.
After that we travel to the MONASTERY OF POBLET (entrance and visit included) surrounded by its walls, in a beautiful place, it is one of the best preserved medieval monasteries in Spain and closely linked to the history of the Kingdom of Aragon and Catalonia.
We continue through prosperous agricultural regions of central Catalonia towards the Mountain of Montserrat, climb to the summit to admire its fantastic landscapes and rock formations and visit the Monastery of Montserrat, sanctuary where is located the Virgin of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia.
Arrival in BARCELONA at the end of the afternoon.
With our guide we visit the exciting city, open to the Mediterranean, we visit its ramblas and the memories of the Universal Exhibitions and Olympics that took place there. We walk through the "Gothic quarter", we see the building of the "Generalitat" (seat of the government of Catalonia) and the cathedral. We include the entrance to the Sagrada Familia, Gaudí´s masterpiece, as well as other of his most recognized works. Our guide will take you to the "Olympic Port", ideal place to have lunch in one of its many restaurants overlooking the sea.
Free afternoon. At night we attend the show of the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, with its rhythms of light, colors, water and music.
We will leave for the Valencian Community. We visit PEÑISCOLA dominating the sea with its powerful walls, its historic center with steep streets, white houses and medieval castle (entrance included) whose history tells us about Popes and pirates. Peñíscola is one of the most beautiful villages in the Spanish Mediterranean. We continue to VALENCIA, capital of the Valencian community. Free time for lunch next to the popular Malvarrosa beach, have you tried the real Valencian paella? Later we will walk through the historic center of the city, where the Cathedral and its old Lonja stands out. A stop at the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences (we visit the only outside) before continuing our route back to Castilla and MADRID. Arrival around 21 hrs.
