Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Paris- Epernay- Reims- Strasbourg.

Welcome to your Europamundo Trip Style tour!

We will leave PARIS around 8.00 in the morning. After some time following a picturesque road surrounded by vineyards, we arrive at EPERNAY, the capital of Champagne, a charming little town where some of the most famous champagne cellars in the world are located. We will walk along the Avenue of Champagne and include entrance and visit to the Mercier wineries – the same house that produces the Moet Chandon. The visit is made by train and includes a tasting of the most famous sparkling drink in the world.

We continue to REIMS, where we meet the Catedral de Reims, an impressive Gothic cathedral and one of the most important in France. This cathedral was the coronation place of the kings of France for centuries. We continue our route to Alsace, a region disputed over the centuries between France and Germany whose language "Alsatian" is a dialect of German and whose architecture and traditions have great Germanic roots. We arrived in STRASBOURG, the Alsati apitaland seat of the European Parliament. Its historic center is beautiful, with its neighborhood of "La petite France" full of canals and flowers, its medieval streets and its impressive Gothic cathedral. Day 2: Strasbourg- Castle of Haut Koeningsburg- Ribeauville- Riquewihr- Colmar- Dijon.

Our stage today is beautiful because in Alsace there are some of the most beautiful villages in Europe and its hilly landscapes are unforgettable. We know first of all the powerful fortress of HAUT KOENINGSBURG, in the Vosges, overlooking the Rhine Valley, one of the best preserved medieval castles in France (entrance included). After that we visit two wonderful small villages, RIBEAUVILLE, a town known for its wines with its historic center of half-timbered houses and the ruined castles that dominate the population. RIQUEWIHR, a small medieval village with cobbled streets and colorful houses that look like something from a fairy tale, scenes from the movie Beauty and the Beast are inspired by this place. We continue to COLMAR, a city with a unique architecture, with colorful wooden houses and canals that cross it, which is known for its white wine and its gastronomy. We will have time to have lunch and walk peacefully. At mid-afternoon we will leave for DIJON, capital of the Burgundy region, with lively streets, magnificent urban complex with numerous medieval and Renaissance buildings where the Palace of the Dukes stands out. Day 3: Dijon- Beaune- Semur en Auxois- Abbey of Fontenay- Vezelay- Paris.

We travel through the heart of Burgundy, vineyard lands and historic towns. In BEAUNE, capital of Burgundy wines, we will stroll in the city center and get to know its historic hospice (entrance included), a medieval hospital of the fifteenth century for people without resources. After that, we continue to SEMUR EN AUXOIS, a medieval city surrounded by impressive walls. Time for lunch. Later we will include entrance to the ABBEY OF FONTENAY, monastery of the twelfth century belonging to the Cistercian order, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO. Still in Burgundy we will have time to stroll in VEZELAY, one of the most beautiful villages in France, its immense basilica was one of the starting points of the Way of St James. In the afternoon we continue our route to PARIS, arrival about 20 hrs.-
